Supporting the local community

St George Community Association (SGCA) is a not-for-profit charitable company limited by guarantee no. 08152352 and registered charity no. 1150688.

We manage St George Community Centre, which has been an appreciated and well-used community resource for over twenty years. The building hosts health and fitness activities, youth groups, child and parent groups, support groups, as well as running seasonal community events and taking part in wider local initiatives. It also hosts NHS blood donor sessions, community meetings as well as providing an affordable private hire venue for family celebrations and other social events.

We also support the St George Community and the neighbourhoods of St George, Redfield and Whitehall. We bring together local residents, businesses, public services and other community organisations through community events, activities and advocacy in the local area. Being located on the edge of St Georgeโ€™s Park, we also proudly support a number of initiatives which help ensure the park is well looked after and utilised by the local community.
